Climate Change And The Presidential Race, Health Issues In Gaza And West Bank And The Oil Embargo by WBEZ’s Worldview

Over the weekend more than a 150 countries reached a deal to reduce emissions of a powerful chemical used in refrigeration and air conditioning. It’s part of an effort to combat climate change. And on today’s World History Minute: The Arab Oil Embargo began on October 17th, 1973, when five Arab countries announced they’d stop selling oil to countries that supported Israel. Plus, Dr. Alice Rothchild a retired OB-GYN, produced and directed the film, Voices Across the Divide. It’s an oral history project about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.
